Dumpster Rental in Anthony, FL
Dumpster Rental in Anthony
Anthony is named for one of its founders, E. C. Anthony. Its post office opened in 1877, the town was platted in 1883 when the railroad was extended to it, and it was incorporated in 1892 during phosphate mining, then disincorporated in 1932. Today it is unincorporated Marion County, on CR 200A (NE Jacksonville Road), with Anthony Elementary School at 9501 NE Jacksonville Road.
Anthony is not a Census place, so there is no official population; its 32617 ZIP area counted 4,295 people in 2020 over about 30 square miles. Seven in ten homes are single-family houses and nearly all the rest are mobile homes; 43 percent were built before 1980, and 89 percent are owner-occupied. So the work is renovations, roofs, cleanouts and property clean-ups. Anthony Elementary is only about 8 miles north of our yard by NE Jacksonville Road.

Anthony is not an incorporated town, so there is no town code here: Marion County and Florida rules apply. We found no Marion County rule or permit published for a container in a county road, so we keep containers off the road, CR 200A included, and set them on your driveway or lot. If you are in a homeowners association, check its rules on driveway containers before delivery day. The City of Ocala’s rule that the City alone collects all solid waste other than construction and demolition debris and recyclables applies only inside city limits, so here we take cleanouts, junk and mixed loads as well as remodeling, roofing, construction and demolition debris. And if a demolition or renovation removes asbestos-containing material above the Asbestos NESHAP thresholds, a Notice of Renovation or Demolition must go to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection at least 10 working days before work starts; Marion County projects go to its Central District office (407-897-4100).
Anthony dumpster rental questions
- Is a permit needed for a dumpster in Anthony?Unincorporated Marion County: we found no County rule or permit published for a container in a county road, so it goes on your driveway or lot, off CR 200A. The City of Ocala’s collection rule stops at the city limits, so cleanouts and mixed loads are welcome here.
- How fast can you deliver in Anthony?Often the same day if you call early. Anthony Elementary is only about 8 miles north of our yard by NE Jacksonville Road (CR 200A), closer than many people expect.
- Is Anthony its own town? Not anymore. Anthony was incorporated in 1892 and disincorporated in 1932, so today it is unincorporated Marion County. The container goes on your driveway or lot, and because you are outside Ocala city limits, we take cleanouts and mixed loads as well as construction debris.
- Can you place a dumpster at a mobile home?Usually, if there is a firm, level spot on the lot or drive. If your community has its own rules on containers, check with the manager before delivery day; a 10 or 15-yard is the usual size.
