Residential Dumpster Rental in Ocala, FL

Our residential dumpster rental is the container Ocala homeowners call about for a kitchen or bathroom remodel, a roof tear-off, new flooring, a deck coming down or a garage being rebuilt: a 10, 15 or 20-yard roll-off on the driveway at one flat price that covers delivery, the rental period, pickup and a disposal weight allowance, quoted before the truck leaves our yard on SE 3rd Avenue.
Household cleanup dumpsters for cleanouts, moves and estates are where the city line matters. Inside Ocala city limits the City collects all solid waste except construction and demolition debris and recyclables, so there our home containers carry remodeling and renovation debris. Across unincorporated Marion County, which takes in most of the Ocala mailing addresses in Silver Springs Shores, Marion Oaks, Summerfield, Silver Springs and Ocklawaha, we take full cleanout loads too.
Renovation comes first. Ocala’s housing has a median build year of 1984 and about 43 percent of its homes went up before 1980, so kitchens, bathrooms, old flooring and roofs come out of a lot of houses around downtown and the historic districts. A 10 to 20-yard box covers almost all of it. If you are taking a roof off, tell us: shingles are heavy and we size for weight, not just volume.
Outside city limits the work changes. More than half of Marion Oaks’ homes were built since 2000 and Silver Springs Shores has a median build year of 1997, so it is move-ins, landscaping, garage and whole-house cleanouts and the occasional rebuild. In Citra and Fort McCoy more than half of homes are mobile homes, and a mobile-home tear-out or cleanout is a 20 or 30-yard job.
The City of Ocala’s Sanitation Services page says: “It is a requirement of the Code of the City of Ocala that all solid waste, excluding construction and demolition debris (C&D) and recyclable commodities, must be collected and disposed of exclusively by the City of Ocala.” Its residential sheet tells residents that construction debris belongs “in a roll off container (from a private hauler) or at a C & D landfill.” So inside city limits our containers carry construction and demolition debris, and household trash, junk and cleanout loads are the City’s to collect; call Ocala Sanitation (residential 352-351-6697).
Many addresses that say “Ocala” are not in the city at all. Silver Springs Shores (34472) and Marion Oaks (34473, 34476) are unincorporated parts of Marion County, and there we deliver household cleanup dumpsters for basements, garages, estates and moves. Not sure which side of the line you are on? Give us the address and we will tell you before we book.
On your driveway or lot. The City of Ocala publishes no permit written for a dumpster; its right-of-way utilization permit does not mention containers, so we keep them out of the street and ask Transportation Engineering (352-351-6733) before any street placement. We found no Marion County rule published for a container in a county road either, so in the county it goes on your property too. Belleview’s code says “at no time shall a dumpster be placed on the city right-of-way.” If you are in a homeowners association, check its rules before delivery day. Our service-area pages give each town’s position.
Drywall, lumber, cabinets, flooring, tile, roofing shingles, siding, windows, fixtures and, outside Ocala city limits, furniture, boxes, carpet and general household junk. Some things stay out under Florida law or the disposal site’s rules: whole tires, lead-acid batteries, used oil, liquids, paint and household chemicals, and anything containing asbestos. Appliances are fine if you tell us, because Florida keeps “white goods” out of landfills and we route them to metal recycling. Our guide to what stays out lists where each item goes.

- Can I rent a dumpster for a house cleanout inside Ocala city limits? Not from us. The City collects all solid waste inside city limits except construction and demolition debris and recyclables, so cleanout and junk loads there are the City’s; call Ocala Sanitation (residential 352-351-6697). Remodel, roofing and demolition debris is fine in our roll-off. Outside city limits, including Silver Springs Shores and Marion Oaks, we do cleanouts too.
- Will the dumpster damage my driveway? We put boards under the container rails on request, and our drivers set the box down rather than dragging it. Tell us if your driveway is new or decorative concrete and we will plan around it.
- Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup? No. Mark the spot or send us a photo, and we will place it exactly where you asked. Make sure nothing is parked in front of the container on pickup day.
